And I rise.
And I rise each day wondering what its going to bring
And I rise time to time in a dazed state of mind
And I rise on late nights to a cold sweat wondering why I'm living
And I rise in my thoughts from this place onto a higher world
And I rise only to wake up and see that it was just a dream.
The only way out is the way through.

This is our victory
This victory is for us
This victory is for all of America
This victory is for change
This victory is for a better future
This victory is about those before us
This victory is for the sons and daughters of Africa
This victory is irrepano.
This victory displayed what can happen in America when we work together as one.
This victory is only the beginning

In due time.
We started as Kings and Queens in Africa
We used to be slaves on ships
We used to be starved and whipped
We used to be deprived of our rights
We used to be 2 fifths of a whole
We used to be degraded and underrated
We used to dream of freedom and equal right
Now in this day of 2008 we celebrate the first Afrikan American president. Barack Obama, YES WE CAN.

November 3rd 2008.
I personally belive that Barack has this election won however we can’t allow ourselves to jump the gun. This election is still far from over because we as a people still need to get out and vote. I won’t belive it until I see him with his feet on the desk of the white house. America is not going to change over night and Barack cannot make this change alone. We as a people need to stand together to better America. “United we stand, divided we fall”
